Izuchukwu Madubueze was a Nigerian who lived in Tampa, Florida. On July 17, 2020, he committed suicide in response to Nanichi Anese’s false allegations of sexual assault. She had uploaded a list on Twitter, the social media network, stating that all individuals who were listed had committed sexual assault or rape. Following the publication of this list, Izuchukwu contacted her to clarify his name. However, his efforts were unsuccessful, and the vitriol from other social media users became intolerable. On the aforementioned date, he employed an app to automate his tweet, in which he stated that he was going to take his life, which he eventually did.

She was required to submit a headshot and full body shot to one of their scouts via his facebook account. After submitting these photos to the recruiter, she encountered hostility, insults and body shaming.
